So how long has it taken you to write this book?

Derrick

I’d say about ten years. It started as a number of small stories. The first, only about the Nzingha Chelsea character taking over an American Black Muslim organization called Crescent Enterprises then she becomes a businesswoman. Then some four years ago the novel, Masters of Fire that’s out now, was an eighty page story, a short version of Masters of Fire but it was called Impending Towers. The actual novel out now took about a year to write.

So it went through stages?

Derrick

Yes. I think most stories do just some stages take longer then others.
